Poetry Tuesday: Destruction of Psara

By Dionysius Solomos (1798-1857), which is as Greek a name as possible.

On the blackened ridge of Psara
Glory walking alone
Recalls the gallant young men:
On her head she wears a crown
Made of what little grass
Remained on that desolate earth.
